This book, “Integrative Approach to Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)”, is an effort to bridge the wisdom of Ayurveda with evidence-based modern medical science. It aims to present a structured understanding of ADHD by integrating diagnostic perspectives, etiopathogenesis, dietary and lifestyle modifications (Ahara and Vihara), Panchakarma procedures, Medhya Rasayana therapy, Satvavajaya Chikitsa, Yoga, and modern pharmacotherapy. The goal is not to replace one system with another, but to explore their complementary strengths in order to provide safe, individualized, and sustainable care for children.
Special emphasis is placed on practical applicability, clinical insights, research evidence, and integrative treatment models that can be adopted by clinicians, researchers, and students of Kaumarbhritya and allied disciplines. By promoting a multidisciplinary and patient-centered framework, this work aspires to contribute meaningfully to the evolving discourse on pediatric neurodevelopmental care.
