Understanding Autism Through Classical Ayurvedic Medicine

This book, Autism through Ayurveda, is an effort to bridge two worlds: the rigor of modern clinical science and the holistic framework of Ayurveda. By examining autism through the lens of classical concepts such as Unmada, Manovaha Srotas, and Dosha imbalances, while simultaneously engaging with contemporary epidemiology, diagnostic criteria, and therapeutic strategies, we aim to create a dialogue that is both scholarly and practical. Each chapter explores autism from complementary vantage points—its modern definitions, Ayurvedic analogues, historical roots, prenatal etiological factors, and integrative management principles— culminating in a vision for care that is both compassionate and evidence-informed.
