The origin of Kannauj is as old as the Bronze Era. It is an ancient historical town of northern India. Many dynasties had ruled over this old city. It’s fame was on peak in 7-12 lth century, specially during the reign of King Harshvardhan from 607 to 647 AD and Yashovarman in early 8th century. Kannauj is internationally famous for it’s production and trading of various ATTARS- Perfumes of Khus, Kevda, Roses, Jasmin and Mogras etc. These crops are commercially grown around the city for extraction of essences from their flowers. The country has seen a radical revolution in retailing
after globalization. Different formats of stores have been

Retail comes from the French word retailler. It was
used with the meaning of "sale in small quantities" in 1433.
Retail is the last phase of an economic activity. As per
Philip Kotler, Retailing includes all the activities involved
in selling goods or services to the final consumers for
personal or non-business use. It is those business firms in
distribution channel that comes at the end of the pipeline
connecting manufacturers and customers.
Pharmacology of Indian Medicinal Plants
Aloe vera is India’s most favorite herbal medicinal plant that is require low maintenance and easy to grow. The name of aloe is derived from Arabic word “Alloeh” meaning a shining bitter substance. Aloe vera belongs to the family Asphodelaceae (liliaceae) (Ghazanfar, 1994). It grows mainly in the dry regions of Africa, Asia, Europe and America. In India, it is found in Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Gujrat, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu. Aloe vera is popular in Ayurvedic medicine (Richard, 2005). There are more than 300 species of aloe plants.
