General Pharmacy (Theory)

General Pharmacy (BP102T) is a core subject in the first year of the Bachelor of Pharmacy programme and provides students with the foundational knowledge required for their academic and professional development. This book has been prepared in accordance with the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) syllabus and is intended to support students in developing a clear foundation in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences and dosage-form concepts. The book begins with the history and development of the pharmacy profession in India, highlighting the growth of pharmacy education, pharmaceutical industries, professional organisations and regulatory institutions.
