इस संग्रह में शामिल रचनाओं में सरिता ने जीवन की विडम्बनाओं को शब्द देने की कोशिश की है। वैसे भी मेरा व्यक्तिगत रूप से यह मानना है कि की जब कोई नवोदित कवि कुछ नया लिखने का सोच रहा होता है तो हमे उसका उत्साहवर्धन करना चाहिए क्योंकि वह नया रचनाकार दुनियां में कुछ अच्छा करना चाहता है।हो सकता है उसकी भाषा, शब्द संयोजन कमजोर हो लेकिन जो कार्य वह करना चाहता है अर्थात कविता लिखना चाहता है तो यह तय है कि उसका उद्देश्य तो पवित्र है।

तीनों रचनाकार नितिन श्रीवास्तव, दुर्गा ठाकरे, दीपक बरनवाल भिन्न भिन्न पृष्ठभूमि से जुड़े हुए हैं और उनका साथ आकर एक साथ योगदान करके उन्मुक्त छंद की रचना करना अपने आप में एक बहुत ही बड़े सामंजस्य और समझ बुझ का परिचायक है। इनके साथ आने का संयोग अवश्य ही बहुत शुभ था जो कि अंततः उन्मुक्त छंद की प्रणेता बनी। तीनों ने ही अपनी अपनी जीविकोपार्जन के दौरान विभिन्न प्रकार के अनुभवों एवं विभिन्न प्रकार के विद्वानों से तरह तरह से अभिमुख हुए और उन्ही संगतियों और विसंगतियों के बीच बहुत कुछ सीखा और समझा है, हमें अपने विद्वता का दम्भ भरने का साहस कदापि नहीं कर सकते परंतु उन्मुक्त छन्द के द्वारा समाज के समझ अनुभवों को प्रस्तुत करने का प्रयास कर रहे हैं और उम्मीद करते हैं आपको पसंद आएगी। हमारे जीवन में घटित होने वाले घटनाओं से उपजित भावों का संग्रह है, उन्मुक्त छन्द में हमनें सभी तरह के भावों को संजोने का प्रयास किया है चाहे वह प्रेम हो, जीवन पथ में आने वाले तरह तरह के संघर्ष हों, सामाजिक बुराइयों की आलोचना हो, सामाजिक तंत्र से फैली असमानता हो या गुदगुदाते काव्य हों, सभी को हमनें आपके सम्मुख समान भाव से प्रस्तुत करने की चेष्ठा की है। अभी अभी तो उदित हुए हैं, कि, कहीं दूर अनंत है अपना अंत। लक्ष्य एक इस जीवन का, कि, दर्शित काव्य हो हमारा दिग दिगंत। उन्मुक्त छन्द
