A Comprehensive Review Post-Operative Care For Patients With Oral Cancer

This dissertation provides an extensive review of current best practices in post-operative management of oral cancer patients. It covers critical areas such as airway management after major resections, post-tracheostomy care, flap monitoring techniques including clinical assessment, Doppler evaluation, implantable probes, and thermal imaging and early identification of vascular compromise. It further discusses pain control, infection prevention, haemorrhage management, thromboprophylaxis, and management of salivary leak and fistula formation.
